The Baptist Foundation of California is delighted to share a tremendous blessing available to California and Arizona SBC pastors and missionaries to attend pastors’ retreats at no registration cost – that’s right, FREE registration for eligible CSBC pastors.  This blessing results from a new endowment established in honor of the late Albert and Istalena Baxter, a couple whose enduring generosity continues to bless others through our Foundation.

The Baxters were devoted Southern Baptists who lived with deep gratitude for God’s provision – so much so that they wanted to give back to the Kingdom. During a stay at a Baptist missionary guesthouse in Thailand, they witnessed firsthand the renewal and spiritual refreshment missionaries experienced in a retreat setting. Inspired by that encounter, they began to dream of creating a similar place where Arizona and California pastors and missionaries could routinely rest, reflect, and reconnect with God.
